To the children in the family,

To the offspring within the clan,

Each girl and woman, boy and man;

Seek the potential of your mind;

Harvest your dreams and you will find,

That you were chosen to be great,

A charge that you should celebrate.

You can accomplish more, but plan

Your movements toward a worthy goal

And trust your God to guide your soul,

And motivate you to invest

Your energy to be your best.

Withstand temptation and refuse

To tolerate a will to lose.

And never act against the prayers

Of kindred folk who's spirits share

A vision that unites the tribe

In power we can not describe.

And children always act your age;

Quick to love and tardy with rage.

And work with a ferocity,

Avoiding mediocrity;

Place passion in your work and play;

Let fairness reign throughout your day.

To the children in the family,

To the offspring within the clan,

What is visible when you scan

Your hearts, where fertile motives dwell,

A fear to gamble to excel,

Aversion to the risk to lead,

To conquer boredom and succeed?

To the children in the family,

I know the answer, yes you can

Achieve beyond your current state,

Beyond what critics contemplate;

For you can solve the mystery,

And claim your place in history.
